It is a Play Anywhere title, so if you buy it digitally on Xbox One, you'll get a copy of the PC version free and vice versa. Gears of War 4 launches on October 11 for Xbox One and PC. Everyone who played Gears of War Ultimate Edition before the end of 2015 received the four Xbox 360 games free. This bundle features the limited edition console, the Kait. The fine print explains that you will need 32 GB of hard drive space to download all four Gears of War Xbox 360 games. The games- Gears of War (2006), Gears of War 2 (2008), Gears of War 3 (2011), and Gears of War Judgment (2013)-are playable on Xbox One through backwards compatibility. Everyone who buys the game on Xbox One-digital or at retail- before the end of 2016 will receive copies of all the Gears of War Xbox 360 games. The Ultimate Edition costs $79.99 and includes everything from the Standard Edition as well as an Ultimate Edition Character Pack and Boost: 30 Day Bonus.Microsoft has announced a new incentive to encourage people to pick up Gears of War 4. As for the game, the Standard Edition costs $59.99 from Microsoft and includes the Terminator Dark Fate Character Pack, Boost: 7 Day Bonus, and Vector Lancer Weapon Skin. The matching charging stand will set you back a further $49.99. Gears fans who already own an Xbox One will be happy to hear the Kait Diaz controller is being offered separately for $74.99. The price is much easier to stomach, though, at just $299 and will likely prove the most popular to pre-order. It includes a standard white Xbox One S and controller along with the same "all the Gears games" downloads. The final console offering is the Xbox One S 1TB Console Gears 5 Bundle. It's essentials a complete Gears game collection and the console to play them on.
This bundle includes the standard black Xbox One X and controller, but compliments a download version of Gears 5 with download versions of Gears of War: Ultimate Edition and Gears of War 2, 3, and 4. The other $499 offering is the Xbox One X 1TB Console Gears 5 Bundle.
